“An afternoon event at the foyer of the Hyatt Regency hotel in Thessaloniki, alongside the
artworks of the painter of colors, Manos Ioannidis”.

More than 250 art friends and art lovers attended the event that took place on Sunday 15/1. The tour concerning the unique, colorful portraits of the “painter of colors” took place in an intensely creative atmosphere, full of artistic inspiration. At the same time, the unique experience was ideally complemented by the lounge melodies of Diogenes Mariolas and Tatiana Masmanidou on the saxophone. The hotel spaces are decorated with the paintings of Manos Ioannidis, giving them a characteristic, vivid breath.

The event was attended by the renowned Art History professor of the National Kapodistrian
University of Athens, Mr. Manos Stefanidis, who guided the attendees to this journey of colors.

Mr. Stefanidis referred to Thessaloniki as the second largest Byzantine city after Constantinople,
having a multitude of monuments and museums, as well as a long history, while mentioning that

“Gallery Markidi comes into play to offer its own aesthetic and artistic vision”. At the same time,
regarding the portraits of Manos Ioannidis, he analyzed how important the perception of the face
is, likening the artworks to “landscapes that capture the soul, highlighting life, death and love”.

Many important personalities from the field of art, culture, as well as other important sectors of
the social and economic life of the city were present at the opening of “Gallery Markidi”.
